Anyway, do any of the aftermarket 50cc carbs for pocket bikes and honda-clones bolt up to the express manifold. There seems to be a lot of carbs for honda-clone engines on ebay, and I run premix on mine, so the carb missing the direct injection plunger isn't too much of a problem.

That seems like a good option, but I figure the most gains in performance would be to get a better carb and exhaust. Reading some past posts, I noticed that an 86 or newer honda spree head will bolt right up and give it some extra performance.
#Honda nc50 carburetor mods
Now, I'm cleaning the carb, and ready to get the bike back on the road and started wondering what my options were in terms of bolt on performance mods for the project NC50. Looking at the diagrams at I saw there were two versions of the carb and the 77 and 78 are a little different. Upon inspection, the carb looked different from my 77 and at first I thought it was missing parts internally. I Loosened the back brake and the spring starter worked to turn over the engine no problem.

The good news was the spring starter was fine -> the brake line was just too tight. Anyway, the bike looked to be in good shape overall, so I decided to 'win' it. It was not running and advertised that it had a bad spring starter. Hi, I just got another 1978 Express to go with the 1977 model I already have.
